find roots of \[x^2-x-6=0\] Solution : Given equation can be written as \[x^2-3x+2x-6=0\] \[x(x-3)+2(x-3)=0\] \[(x-3)(x+2)=0\] When x-3=0 then x= 3 and when x+2=0 then x =-2 Thus roots are -2, 3
