Question :  How do you convert radian to degree? Convert the following angles in radian to degree.

  • 3𝜋/2
  • – 5𝜋/3
  • 13𝜋/4
  • -7𝜋/6

Answer :

convert radian to degree :

We know that 1 revolution in a unit circle satisfies

 2π radians = 360°

Dividing by 2π both sides

 1 radian = 360°/2π = 180/π

  • convert 3𝜋/2 radian to degree

Since  1 radian = 360°/2π = 180/π

Hence  3𝜋/2 radian = (3𝜋/2 ) (180/π) =3*180/2 = 270°

  • convert – 5𝜋/3  radian to degree

Since  1 radian = 360°/2π = 180/π

Hence  – 5𝜋/3  radian = (- 5𝜋/3  ) (180/π) =-5*180/3 = 300°

  • convert 13𝜋/4 radian to degree

Since  1 radian = 360°/2π = 180/π

Hence  13𝜋/4radian = ( 13𝜋/4 ) (180/π) =13*180/4 = 585°

  • convert -7𝜋/6 radian to degree

Since  1 radian = 360°/2π = 180/π

Hence  -7𝜋/6 radian = ( -7𝜋/6) (180/π) =-7*180/6 =- 210°
